Great place to live in Davissubmitted by Catherine W. - |Recommended: YesI've lived here for three years in Davis while in graduate school. West Davis is a nicer, quieter part of town. I never had any issues with neighbors being too loud. Maintenance is incredible. They're always on top of work orders and often come by the same day. Rent increases every year, but that's to be expected in Davis. The apartment complex has really put an effort in upgrading and renovating by putting in new counter tops, redoing the fences outside, putting in laminate floors, etc. Great place to live, never had any issues. Really can't complain about anything at this place
Great submitted by Michelle C. - |Recommended: YesIts a quiet neighborhood. Walk two bus stops down there is a plaza that has a market and a good boba shop. It's a nice area to live in.
Good place to livesubmitted by Stephen F. - |Recommended: YesThe staff is fantastic, awesome pool and BBQ area
Pricey but Prettysubmitted by Sophie C. - |Recommended: YesThe grounds are beautiful and I love having my own private balcony in the back. However, The cost is very high for the area, as with the almost 12 increase in rent this year, I am paying the same price as friends in San Francisco. The walls are a little thin-you can hear your neighbors talking and the cold or hot air seems to come right through. The screens are also warped and allow bugs to enter forcing the choice between letting in cool air at night or keeping the spiders out. I can also see light entering around my front door as it does not seal. The bathroom is large but does not have any sort of fan so mold grows quickly. The contract does not allow for subletting which is unfortunate, as that would help offset the high cost. I do enjoy the mostly quiet atmosphere and the chatting with the friendly staff. I would have chosen a cheaper apartment complex had there been any availability, but for the most part enjoy living in Portage Bay.
Great Place to Livesubmitted by Alexandria B. - |Recommended: YesI really enjoy living at Portage Bay. Very family friendly, which is a nice difference from living closer to campus. Really feels like a home and everyone is very nice and friendly.

Quiet, convenient, and safesubmitted by Madeline M. - |Recommended: YesIt's a pretty quiet place and my roommate and I have enjoyed our time living here. The walls are a little too thin to the point you can hear everyone and everything but other than that its a good first apartment.

Comfortable, Friendly Apartment Complex Close to UC Davissubmitted by Samantha M. - |Recommended: YesPortage Bay is a great place to live Staff is very friendly and quick to respond to maintenance requests. Apartments are great size for what you pay. The pool and hot tub are great amenities. They have new parcel boxes that keep your packages safe when delivered. You can hear little bits from your neighbors, but not enough to disturb you in any way. The grounds are well kept.
Review Portage Bay submitted by Hok L. - |Recommended: YesPortage Bay apartment is great overall. However, there was a few electric outage which cause the entire area to be extremely too dark. The apartment can do things such as using solar power lights, so that if it blacks out in the neighborhood. The apartment will still be light up for residents, and also energy saving.
